Stolen Home

Yesterday I was watching the Yankees-Red Sox game with my dad and we got to see a really exciting play that almost never happens in baseball.

Jacoby Ellsbury, an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox, stole home, thats right, if you dont know what this means is that he was on third base and when the pitcher started the movement to make the pitch, he started running towards home and amazingly he was safe and the run was good... the Sox beat the Yankees 4-1, to see the video click HERE or on the picture...

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

I went to the Sultanes vs Diablos Rojos games yesterday, and it reminded me of this great song, which is usually done in the seventh inning stretch on a game. I was telling my girlfriend about Harry Caray (didn't remember his name yesterday) and how he used to sing it in Wrigley Field, and even though he didn't invent it, he sure popularized the song... you can tell how he used to enjoy singing it. Now just celebrities and important people get to sing it every once in a while. Some examples include: Tony Romo, Ozzy Osbourne, William Hung, and the latest american idol winner David Cook.

Switch Hitter and Switch Pitcher Check out this video clip from a professional baseball game. They kept switching sides until they finally had to get the rule book out.

Guy doesnt decide which side to bat, until the pitcher cannot take anymore... they have to bring out the rule book and umpires and a meeting to decide WTF is going on...
