RIP Michael Crichton

Michael Crichton 1942-2008

Michael Crichton the worldwide known sci fi writer died this past tuesday on his home in Los Angeles... the reports indicate that he died of cancer at the age of 66.
Crichton has been criticized by many for his stands on global warming, for he was one of the strongest oppositors of Global Warming claiming that the situation was not as bad as governments wanted us to believe. He was also very influential on Hollywood for he wrote many hit movies, as well as directing some of his own work. Some hollywood classics written by Crichton include the very famous Jurassic Park I, II and III, Sphere, Disclosure, Rising Sun, Congo, The Terminal Man and the Andromeda Strain, he is also well known for being the author and creator of ER (Emergency Room) which is a TV Series that has been going on strongly for 15 seasons now. He also collaborated as a screenplay writer on the movies Twister and the Great Train Robbery...

I consider myself a big fan of his writing, and can personally say that his book State of Fear in which he debates the truth about global warming, has been one of my personal favorites for I have already read it 2 times and I strongly recommend it.

Here is a listing of some of his best novels:

1969 - The Andromeda Strain
1972 - The Terminal Man
1975 - The Great Train Robbery
1976 - Eaters of the Dead
1980 - Congo
1987 - Sphere
1990 - Jurassic Park
1992 - Rising Sun
1994 - Disclosure
