El director de Terminator y de Titanic, regresa al cine despues de un buen tiempo de ausencia de hecho su ultima pelicula grande fue Titanic, o bueno Aquaman si eres fan de Entourage... Desde el 97 que Titanic fue todo un éxito la gente esta esperando el regreso de este gran director y este año lo hace con la pelicula AVATAR.
No se ha dicho mucho de la pelicula pero lo que se ha visto, pinta para ser una megaproduccion con muy buenos efectos visuales... me imagino que el impacto sera el mismo que la primera vez que la gente vio Terminator en el cine... la historia se ve algo compleja y sobre todo muuuuy de ciencia ficcion, pero bueno, Cameron si para algo es bueno es para la ciencia ficcion (Terminator, Alien)
El primer trailer de la pelicula, Teaser, salió el dia de hoy y para verlo puedes dar CLICK AQUI o en la foto de arriba... además el dia de mañana se estrenará una especie cortometraje de 20 minutos que tengo entendido va a proyectarse en CINEPOLIS a nivel nacional, por si alguien quiere ir a verlos...

A diferencia de alguna de las otras peliculas de la serie, Half Blood Prince, no es tan entretenida como otras, la trama es un poco lenta y en varios momentos mas bien parece una comedia romantica para niños que una historia... las escenas de acción son pocas y no tan elaboradas como en otras peliculas, además quitan partes importantes del libro con tal de hacer una versión mas ligera.
Todo a todo, si vale la pena ir a ver la pelicula sobre todo porque es parte de una saga y las que vienen deben ser mucho mejores. Además de que si hay varias escenas, en particular una hacia el final, que son de vital importancia que las vean... sin mas que decir, la calificamos como ENTRETENIDA (6)

This summer has quite a unique collection of movies opening that look really good, at least by watching the trailer, as always, there are a couple of interesting animated films, some war films, big blockbuster films and of course BRUNO...
Anyway, without further ado, the top 12 movies of this summer (Click on the poster for more info on the film)
UP (Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer)
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen (Megan Fox, Shia Lebouf, Josh Duhamel)
So I added the UP trailer a week ago... this is the competition coming from Dreamworks animation... Imagine a mix between the Incredibles and Monsters INC... what do you get? Monsters vs Aliens, the newest movie from the studio about a group of monsters contacted by the government to put an end to the alien infestation coming to earth... huh? thats right, I think it sounds like a spoof of some other movies, just like Shrek was to fairy tales...
When I was a young boy, one of my favorite past times was playing with my GIJOEs, just like Transformers did last year, when they brought one of my favorite toys to the big screen, GIJOE is doing the same thing on 2009...
I was really happy to hear this news since I have been a fan of these toys forever, now I hope that the movie is carefully done so that they dont throw the money down the trash... I was always a big fan of the cartoons as well, so I hope that they get back to some of those roots as well... Now to the details. The movie is being directed by Stephen Sommers (The guy who did the first two Mummy franchise films) and some of the actors in the movie include: Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point) as General Hawk, Channing Tatum (Step Up) as duke, the main hero in the movie, the director originally wanted Mark Wahlberg, but he was busy doing some other films, Sienna Miller (Alfie) as the Baroness, Joseph Gordon Levitt (Third Rock from the Sun) as Cobra Commander, Arnold Voosloo (The Mummy) as Zartan and of course, Brendan Fraser as Gung Ho... some other credits include, Marlon Wayans, Jonathan Pryce, Rachel Nichols and Adewale Akinnuoye...
Sounds like an interesting project, although many are saying that this movie will be a fluke similar to what they did with the Mortal Kombat series... fans are saying that the suits look like reject designs from the X Men Movies, and many have expressed concern with the soldiers look, which instead of showing them as soldiers, they are being portrayed as superheroes... I guess we'll just have to wait till August 7 2009 to see it...

The comic book film adaptations frenzy continues!!! This time is another interesting story brought to the big screen. The comic: Watchmen, a 12 issue comic story developed back in the 80s by DC comics (Batman, Superman, the Flash). The story of the comic is set in 1985, in a fictitious world where costumed super heroes exist and the United States is on the verge of a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. Watchmen tells the story of a group of past and present superheroes and the events that happen after one of their own is murdered. Similar as in Batman, in Watchmen the heroes are real people with real people problems and ethical decisions to be made, and also as in Batman, many of them dont even have super powers.
Watchmen has been critically acclaimed because of the way they have deconstructed the archetype of the typical superhero, the novel also won a Hugo Award, which is the most prestigious award you can win as a science fiction novel... this is the only comic book in history to have won it.
The film is being directed by the same guy who did 300, Zack Snyder, so for sure we will see again incredible effects and revolutionary scenes. And the main characters are not really well known guys, which I think will make it even better.

Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, Big Fish) as Dr. John Osterman/Dr. Manhattan. a superhero that works for the US government, who does possess super powers.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (P.S. I Love You)as Edward Blake/The comedian. A vigilante superhero commisioned by the US government. Ron Pearlman who plays Hellboy was first considered for the role.
Jackie Early Haley (Semi Pro, Little Children) as Walter Kovacs/Rorschach a killer superhero who sees the world in black and white. One of the favorite by the fans.
Malin Akerman (The Heartbreak Kid, 27 Dresses) as Laurie Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre II. A retired superheroine vigilante. Only woman superhero amongst all the watchmen.
Matthew Goode (Match Point, The Lookout) as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias. A retired vigilante superhero, who has made his appearance public after retiring. The role was originally intended for Jude Law or Tom Cruise, but both left the project due to different reasons.
Carla Gugino (Entourage, Sin City) as Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre. Retired vigilante superheroine and mother of Laurie Juspeczyk, the new Silk Spectre.
Stephen McHattie (300, A History of Violence) as Hollis Mason/Nite Owl. The first Nite Owl.
Matt Frewer (Dawn of the Dead) as Edward Jacobi/Moloch the Mystic. An elderly rehabilitated criminal.

The Trailer sounds interesting, the Cast looks pretty good, the Director has a good rap, this promises to be one of the biggest films in 2009, lets see if it lives up to its hype.
