Bye bye BB PIN, hello Iphone PING!

La gente que tiene cualquier tipo de Blackberry siempre ha estado orgullosa de que su aparato es mejor que el Iphone simplemente porque los usuarios de iphone no tienen el BB Messenger el cual les ahorra mucho dinero ya que es como un chat en el que siempre estan online, y los que tienen iphone tienen que gastar en SMS...

Ahora todo esta cambió llegó PING! para iphone... en su primera versión, aparenta ser exactamente lo mismo que el BB messenger pero en un formato diferente... Ahora lo unico que les queda es el flash de la camarita ya que el iphone aun no lo trae... fuera de eso, creo que el Blackberry esta sufriendo lo mismo que ha pasado la VHS, el Rollo para las camarás y ahora el DVD... Animo BB users! a comprar un Iphone!!!

Advertising, advertising, advertising...

This is in my opinion, an EXCELLENT response to the Life Without Walls/Windows newest campaign, in which Apple instead of keeping up with its usual ads, this time they criticize the way Windows is spilling around money just to advertise, instead of improving Windows Vista, the ironic part is that Apple invested a ton of money on this campaign as well... hahaha

Apple Strikes Again! The Macbook Touch

As I expected, just as I had bought my new black MacBook, two weeks later I got the news... Apple is already working on its next biggest product....... and its a laptop.

Many fans have been asking apple for something similar to the pad notebooks or tablet notebooks, that HP, DELL, and almost every other computer manufacturer has. Well, now the rumors are really circling around the new MacBook Touch. With many features similar to the Ipod Touch, or the Iphone, this piece of equipment promises to be revolutionary and amazing, as most apple new products commonly are.
Sources say:

"Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured multi-touch. Gesture library. Full Mac OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion's haptic tech. Slot-loading SuperDrive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty expensive to produce initially, but sold at "low" price that will reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will. This is some sick shit. App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps, too. By October at the latest."

Everything appears to be solid, and true, even the same webpage that started with the rumor, has been the same page that has confirmed several of apple's new products in the past, like itunes wireless, and the ipod touch. Sources even say that there might be a possibility that the MacBook Touch fits into the side of a normal Apple Desktop computer, hence synchronizing it with the hard drives. (see 3rd and 4th pic below)

Microsoft Fights Back

For a while, Microsoft has had to stand behind Apple's shadow, at least in the ad campaigns... The Get a Mac campaign (below) has been highly successful, and it has even brought down the ratings on regular pcs, and of course on microsoft operating systems. They started targeting pcs in general, but as the campaign has advanced, they are more and more targeting Vista, and all of its flaws.

Well, Microsoft, has decided to fight back, and they hired some of the best advertising agencies in the world to help them... Their first idea has been born, the campaign is going to be called "Windows, not Walls". And to promote it they have hired comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who people see as a cool, funny comedian, rumors say he will be getting around 10 million dollars for the campaign, and that Mr. Seinfeld will share the laughs with Microsoft's creator Bill Gates, bringing the clients the idea that Mr. Gates gets involve with his clients, and has direct personal contact with them.

The idea is to give Microsoft a 'cooler' edge, which right now we clearly see that Mac has been winning for a while in that. Everybody sees macintosh as a cool brand, and people see Microsoft as an old has been brand, experts say. Nobody remembers any kind of Microsoft ad, but as soon as Mac has a new ad, everyone is commenting on it. This is what they want to generate in the end. This 'Buzz' that is every marketers dream.

Lets see it this is as good as it looks like, although until Microsoft, makes some SERIOUS CHANGES to its operating system I could maybe, remotely, consider going back, but sincerely, I'm really happy with Apple products.

The End of an ERA

I just got my newest birthday present today, and I can only say that it is AMAZING! you know that feeling that you get, when someone gives you a present and you really really really enjoy it? well, that feeling I have right now, my parents just gave me my b-day present today, a new 13 inch black macbook.

What an improvement from my last lap, not to put up any dislikes about the first one, but I mean an apple computer changes A LOT in 3 and a half years, maybe even four... had to say goodbye to my old Powerbook G4(pictured below) , which they do not make them anymore, now they are called Macbook Pro, and before that we had the Probook, so you can see its a really old model, but like a good Mac product, it still worked pretty good.

So, by now all of the posts will come from a new computer, don't worry the quality of the posts will be the same, if not better... I just had to publish this post in way of a tribute to my old mac... and don't even think of asking for it, I already have an interested buyer!

Super Bowl Ads: Best Ever

According to SI.com the best super bowl ads have already been rated, among the most memorable ones were the one with the bud-weis-er frogs, and mean joe green and the jersey, from the 70s... but the best one of all time, of course, was this apple macintosh commercial in 1984 used to introduce the first ever apple computer... since the beginning if you look closely they are positioning their computers as individual and unique compared to the rest of them...
