Oscar: Predicciones Lankuriosidad

Este Domingo 7 de Marzo son los Oscares, asi que me parece justo que estamos a buen tiempo para que Lankuriosidad se aviente un pronostico de los premios... en realidad no tomaré en cuenta todos los premios pero si trataré de cubrir bastantes. (en los que pueda pondré alguna explicacion)


Mejor Pelicula:

The Hurt Locker: Mucha gente piensa que Avatar debe ganar el premio por ser la mejor pelicula del año, sin embargo en la academia no se impresionan tan facil con imagenes bonitas y escenas en tercera dimensión, buscan mucho el tema de originalidad en la historia y actuaciones poderosas, asi como direccion impecable y Hurt Locker tiene los 3 factores, Avatar tiene solo la dirección, la historia ya la hemos visto antes y las actuaciones no son excelentes (no que sean malas) simplemente no son extraordinarias. Precious puede llegar a hacer ruido pero en el fondo creo que va a pesar mucho que The Hurt Locker es una pelicula "Anti Guerra" y esto a la Academia le gusta mucho. Posible spoiler: Avatar.

Mejor Director:

James Cameron, Avatar: Aqui si, no gana mejor pelicula sin embargo no pueden dejar de darle el Oscar a Cameron por la increíble pelicula que hizo. Basicamente se transportó a una dimensiòn nueva y creo un mundo totalmente diferente al real. Posible Spoiler: Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker

Mejor Actor:

George Clooney, Up in the Air: Jeff Bridges es un candidato muy fuerta a ganar, y en realidad creo que el se lo va a llevar, pero como son MIS predicciones yo quiero que gané Clooney asi que lo escojo ya que creo que entrega una de las mejores actuaciones de su carrera... Me hubiera gustado que nominaran a Robert De Niro por Everybody´s Fine. Posible Spoiler: Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart

Mejor Actriz:

Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side: Bullock como Clooney, se echa una de las mejores actuaciones de su carrera en The Blind Side, tan fuerte fue que logró que la pelicula saliera nominada al Oscar... recuerdos de Julia Roberts con Erin Brokovich. Posible Spoiler: Gabourey Sidibe, Precious

Mejor Actor de Reparto:

Christoph Waltz, Inglorious Basterds: Bueno que decir de este, no creo que en mi vida haya visto a un candidato mas fuerte a ganar este premio... el personaje de Hans Landa de Inglorious Basterds creo que va a pasar a la historia como uno de los mas odiados del cine y simplemente por la excelente actuación que se aventó este wey... Ingles, Alemán, Francés, de todo habló en la pelicula, y su personaje carismático y sarcástico lo hizo a la perfección. Posible Spoiler: Christopher Plummer, the Last Station.

Mejor Actriz de Reparto:

Mo´Nique, Precious: Su actuación fue tan poderosa que asi como Bullock, hasta logró que nominaran Precious como mejor pelicula, ha ganado todos los premios y es la favorita a ganar este tambien. Posible Spoiler: Anna Kendrick, Up in the Air.

Mejor Pelicula Animada:

UP, Pixar: Practicamente ni valdría la pena poner pelicula posible spoiler ya que definitivamente UP es la mejor pelicula animada que ha salido en mucho tiempo y hasta logró salir nominada a mejor pelicula general. Posible Spoiler: The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Mejor Musica:

James Horner, Avatar: El soundtrack es muy poderoso, la musica esta inspirante, ilumina y realmente solo oyendola te imaginas que estas en un mundo totalmente diferente. Posible Spoiler: Up, Michael Giacchino

Mejor Guion Original:

Quentin Tarantino, Inglorious Basterds: Creo que Tarantino se lo merece entregó una de las mejores peliculas del año, desgraciadamente en un año que hay mucho talento cinematográfico. Posible Spoiler: The Hurt Locker.

Mejor Guion Adaptado:

Up in the air. Es la favorita a ganar... Posible Spoiler: Precious.

Oscar Nominees

The 81st edition of the academy awards is up February 22 2009, and the official nominee list has been released. Benjamin Button has been the leader in nominations with 13, in what I consider to have been a pretty good year in films, even though I havent seen the movie. To many peoples surprise, Olvier Stone's W was widely forgotten, maybe because it was too soon to nominate a movie involving George Bush...

Some great movies were made this past year and all of them have many people wondering who is going to be the best... at least of the movies that I have seen I'd say WALL-E is by far the best of them, however the Academy usually doesn't nominate animated films for the best movie category (so sad), but hey, in the end the academy is just somebodys opinion....

The nominee for best animated feature is also a really competitive category, since WALL-E is probably going to take it, however Kung Fu Panda and BOLT are also amazing movies made this year.

The supporting actor nominees are really tight, specially since we have Heath Ledger's powerful performance as the Joker before he died last year. However he is fighting for the award with Robert Downey Jr. who did an amazing job as a dude disguised as a dude paying another dude in the film Tropic Thunder, and in my opinion deserves the award as well...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as already mentioned was the most dominant in the categories with 13 nominations including Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, the star of the film is Brad Pitt as many of you know... his wife Angelina Jolie however was not forgotten by the Academy as she is nominated for Actress in a leading role for her performance in the film Changeling.

Some of the best films made this year in my opinion include:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Tropic Thunder, W, Frost/Nixon, WALL-E, The Wrestler, In Bruges, Bolt, Kung Fu Panda, and more.

Oscar Nominees: Best Picture

The oscar nominations are out, and as you probably already know, the author of lankuriosidad is a big fan of the movies, so if you havent seen the nominees or have no idea about the movies, we bring you the official trailer for each of the 5 best picture nominated films, here they are in no special order:

I have not seen any of the 5 movies nominated and I hope to see them soon, before the oscars, so I can give you a better insight into them, but just by knowing what each film is about, and the whole crew behind them, my prediction for this years best picture is There Will Be Blood, the story behind it and the nice cast and director, makes it a strong contender for the golden statue... however, with the way the oscars have been in recent years... you never know...
