Tortas La Purisima

I had heard about this Tortas for some time now at work, but I had never had the opportunity to go and try one until last week, when I went with a couple of Colleagues and boy was I satisfied. Supposedly this Tortas have been around for like 30 or 40 years and it is said that they sell aroun 1500 Tortas DAILY!!!

The ingredients are simple yet brilliant, two pork ham slices, two cheese slices, two pork ham and cheese slices, a huge ass bread, and a whole avocado... thats right, one avocado per Torta its amazing how much avocado they do per serving... some other notes, they dont use plates, you have both your hands for that, a delicious yet really spicy salsa verde, and of course its in the street so there are pigeons on the floor who eat whatever falls of your Torta... Quite decent prices also for such a big meal 40 pesos per torta...

SNAPSHOTS: The Backpike...

... Thats right, this is the newest innovation in transportation... meet the Backpike, half backpack, and half bicycle...

It comes as an excellent resource for now for downhill bikers, you carry it on your back all the way to the top of the mountain, a nice little hike with your girlfriend, and after all you drop to your knees and start the fun... maybe someday we will see one with an electric motor, that way it wont be heavy or expensive, and it will be an awesome way to get to work... The Jetsons anyone?

I wish every Lankuriosidad fan would somehow turn into an Urban Reporter and send me their pictures so I could poste them, Urban Reporter is one of my favorite sections the blog has had, since I am no longer on the street all the time I have ceased to post Urban reporter pictures, so I found some on the net from tourists and the funny things theyve seen around the world, and decided to publish them.
