This is a news report on the internet phenomenon zombie kid... as I realize he was a phenomenon just like Edgar was over here in Mexico... the sad thing about this is that they will exploit your children, make hats, t shirts, all of that stuff, and you get NOTHING... hahahah the only thing they got was a national humiliation and letting everyone knows their kid likes to dress like a zombie and eat turtles.. huh?

Operation Valkyrie

Check out the trailer for this new movie coming summer 2008...

The name is Valkyrie, it stars tom cruise and some other famous dudes and the plot centers around a secret plan to betray and murder Adolf Hitler... its based on a true story and directed by the same guy who did the usual suspects and superman... so it must be a good one, the trailer is certainly attractive but Im still not buying Mr Cruise-Holmes as a German officer...

URBAN REPORTS

A new chapter in the lankuriosidad world is born. Since in my job I do around 3 to 5 hours driving, I decided to start taking pictures of stuff that I see in the streets and stuff that I encounter as we tour the city of Monterrey and its metropolitan area.

Also in the urban reports im going to select interesting stuff from every article and make a link to wikipedia or some other reference page, so you can learn more about this stuff every time the urban reporter speaks...

URBAN REPORTS: "Menonitas y Tacos de Barbacoa"

Today as I was driving through the streets of Monterrey I noticed something weird on the streets, yes it is usual to see people selling stuff on the streets, usually its a guy selling chile's or windshield wipers for your car... but this time it was different... I actually saw a true Mennonite (menonita)! which are the guys who supposedly live in farms and make cheese, well this is the guy in the picture and the way he was dressed and the color of his skin told us he was one of them, not only was he wearing that outfit, he was selling cheese!!!!! incredible...

The other part of the report is to tell you about these amazing Taco place called Tacos del Remolque, they have two cars both of them in the Contry area of Monterrey, but the difference from other taco stands is that instead of the taquero being a man, its two women serving tacos!!! so the taste of the food is just like if it was homemade... in many ways the place is different from other businesses, but they still have, barbacoa, deshebrada, machacado, papa c/chorizo and frijoles, their edge though is with the cheese with chorizo tacos, and sausage and cheese tacos, talking to the Taco ladies they were telling me that they open at 8 am and by 10 30 am they dont have any more sausage, by 11 30 no more chorizo... they can say what they want about their different kinds of tacos, I tried a couple and the best ones are the Chorizo with cheese tacos, and incredibly the barbacoa tacos are now one of my favorites, they also have some nice habanero sauce, and a whole other variety of sauces.

its a really great place to eat those morning tacos, if you ever want to go, just ask the urban reporter...

Defeated by the Cock

It is my regret to inform lankuriosidad readers that this past weekend in Fantasy Football my rival was my fellow blogger Rukini who is the mastermind behind Cockfight and sadly the results were miserable, his team beat mine 113 to 81, so we can make the assumption that luck definitely beats talent... hahaha just kidding, he won this one fair and square... My team whose name from the beginning was Divide and Conquer, has been crushed by everyone in the league and I have won just 3 miserable games... so mainly they conquered my ass up... Even though I have Steve Smith, Reggie Bush, and Mr Touchdowns Ladainian Tomlinson... I got whupped...

congratulations on the triumph mr rukini and hope to have a rematch soon...

Mac Meltdown

My mac had a meltdown, just like the picture and the title show... I dont know exactly what happened, but when I bought it one of the strongest selling points was that there were no viruses for mac or OSX systems, well now after 2 years, finally something got to my hard drive...

Yesterday I found out that my mac wasnt working that well, the pictures and the music files disappeared and the dock changed completely, so Ill be taking the lap over to the repair shop, so they can tell me WTF happened... Its something really weird actually, my whole desktop Interface changed and the files that I had on the desktop including all the folders and subfolders where gone...

so, maybe its a good excuse for me to buy a new mac with Intel processor and leopard operating system, but please if you are one of those many mac lovers out there, tell me some tips in the funny thoughts section, cause if you are a mac lover, you can imagine how I feel...

I'd appreciate your thoughts...

p.s. The lap is still working, just not as well as before, so expect a decrease in posts, but Ill be sure to catch up...

Going Urban

The other day, I found this site while snooping around the internet the other day, its called Urban Dictionary, and its actually a quite fun place to maybe just spend some time, or should I say lose some time of your day.

The site is a little bit like Wikipedia, except that in this one instead of just having info on anything, they just have meanings of words, but its not even words, its slangs, phrases and just plain stupid stuff.

On the part that its similar to Wiki is that the users upload the definitions, and sometimes they upload pretty stupid stuff, and sometimes they do have some useful stuff, so anyways, a cool site that you can add to your bookmarks...

some might call it stupid, some might call it genius...
