URBAN REPORTS: Wheels, swimming and some jail time...

The urban reporter has been missing for a while, but now Im back and I have a lot of pictures pending to post, so its gonna be a long urban report the first of 2oo8...

The first snapshot, I was long waiting to post it, because I had seen it before, but never before I had a camera with me to take pictures... its a spare tires business and well, the funny thing is the creative way that the owner (alfonso) has created an original name for his store here it is.. btw it also applies with Telas..

My second one was just a stupid sign in my opinion, also worth of being here, its an advertisment I saw on a volkswagen beetle for a swimming class... just check out the ample market these guys cover... it is never too late to start taking swimming lessons, according to these guys...



Were you ever like me that you thought of your school as a jail? at least sometimes? well the architect and the owners of this school, gave the guys no chance, its a private school in San Nicolas, and i will not mention any names, maybe one of you recognizes it, but man, what a creepy design, this is just one picture, but just so you can imagine the rest when I entered I thought I was in a chinese prison... BTW the school accepts a lot of rejects, so maybe that was the intention after all....

It just came to my knowledge that the group Il Divo was created by Simon Cowell, that judge from american idol, I had no idea of that, and as I looked further into it, I discovered his new creation... the group is called Angelis and its six kids, three boys and three girls, all between the ages of 11 an 15 who sing opera songs and classic songs, another great idea... here it is...

Saw this on american idol yesterday with my GF, the guy is called paul masturano and he sings one hell of a funny song, thats what happens when stalkers go audition in american idol... sounds kind of like a jack black song...

Battle of the infomercials

Talk about crappy infomercials, I saw a couple of videos before posting this one, and the two runner ups were a product called bling it on, where you use stickers to "bling" your cell or your laptop, even your glasses, and the foot detox pad, which was a pad that you place at the bottom of your feet at night and it extracts all the bad toxins from your body while you sleep...

the winner was the amazing fish pen, you can bring it to work, to school, to church... I mean come on, bored? then go fish...

Crushed by a Giant and struck by Lightning

Its just incredible, my eyes couldnt believe it was an upset weekend, it started out normal, as saturday my jaguars try to beat the patriots and gave them a hard time doing it, the seahawks fell to the packers as well as was excpected, but on sunday, teams had different plans...

If instead of going to training camp, you decide to go on a vacation to los cabos with your really hot blonde girlfriend, then you might be talking about Tony Romo, the Quarterback for the cowboys who yesterday fell to the Giants in their own Texas Stadium... Ive been telling the boys fans I know for a long time now, that Romo is not their answer at QB, however they seem to believe he is the next Troy Aikman... we have now seen him in two playoff performances and both have been disasters... first they blame the ball, are they gonna blame Jessica Simpson this time? face it, hes just not THAT good...
And whats to say of the defending champs? they came into their own house with the hype of going back to back and marking history, and indeed history was marked... The chargers with a backup QB and a backup RB took them to school... Peyton was on target at first but in the end you could see his anxiety... not having harrison really was crucial for him because even though Wayne and Clark got good numbers, it was just not the same team we saw last year...

Now we wait for the championship games two obvious picks versus two sleeper picks... Two teams with awesome QBs vs two teams with average QBs... lets see how it plays out here is what I think is going to happen next week

Its going to be a tight game all day, but the giants have been building up some great self esteem the last few games, that they are already being called this years Steelers...

I would love to see the Super Bowl NE vs GB but the Giants have been quietly killing their victims, and I now see them finishing off another huge opponent...
