Take that Dubai!

It seems like everyday we are hearing news about Dubai, hey did you know the biggest tower is going to be on Dubai, did you know they have a whole map of islands just like the worldmap in Dubai, and casinos, and more hotels designed by famous people, etc, well just found this on the net... its the biggest pool according to world records... and interestingly its not in Dubai, its actually in Chile! Its 1 kilometer long and it cost approximately 3.5 million dollars to build, it has boats, surfing, its even got its whole dock!!!

Anyways here are some more interesting facts about it:

The San Alfonso pool:

* Is 8 hectares in surface area or the equivalent of 6,000 standard-size 8-metre-long swimming pools.

* It easily dwarfs the next biggest pool - the Orthlieb in Casablanca, Morocco - which measures 150m x 100m.

* The lagoon's water temperature in summer is 26C, nine degrees warmer than the ocean it sits alongside.

* Its waters are transparent to a depth of 35 metres.

* The pool fills itself with 250,000 cubic meters of water from the Pacific ("which filters itself")

I also found a video from youtube, its kind of boring cause it has no music or sound, but you can really get the sensation of the size of this monster.

URBAN REPORTS: Surround Sound

Just saw this bit of mexican creativity on a little taco place... its on the Tacos Gil on Lazaro Cardenas, seems as if they were having a hard time listening to the TV because they are right next to a really big avenue they decided to buy another TV with surround sound, but instead of that, someone had a better idea... why dont we stick half a plastic cup on each side and aim them towards us...

The Frat Pack

After some annoying feedback we can get back to our normal life... I hope...

This video is a tribute to those actors in a new kind of gang called The Frat Pack...

In the 40s and 50s there was the Rat Pack with Sinatra and Dean Martin, in the 80s the brat pack with molly ringwald and emilio estevez... this new millenium brings us the Frat Pack with Jack Black, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller etc... The best Frat Pack movie so far has ben said to be Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy...

After reading the three definitions, I think the closest one to confirm I plagiarized from rukini would be the third one, precisely where it says, "stealing somebody's work or idea" maybe the author can assure us that it was his idea to use blogs to rant about the scores of the games, or maybe he can say it was his idea to use smart funny pictures as backgrounds to the soccer scores... but If you have ever seen him use movie covers to mock the lousy play of the opposing team... PLEASE! OH PLEASE tell me, cause then I might be 'Plagiarizing Ideas'.

Talking about plagiarism, my thought would have been that the author AT LEAST would have mentioned on his 'crocs' post that the had gotten the picture elsewhere, let alone the idea... seems I'm not the bad one after all... click on the image for fun...

SUPER BOWL SHOCKER

As I told a lot of people who asked me, I really wanted the New England Patriots to win the super bowl, but I was really afraid that the Giants were going to beat them... the reason I gave people was simple: nobody gave the giants a chance against the Cowboys... and they proved us wrong... nobody gave the giants a chance against the Packers... and they proved us wrong... so, nobody would give them a chance against the patriots and they would come tot he super bowl and prove us wrong once again!
My prediction was horribly wrong, specially on them scoring a lot of points... the defenses were pretty tough and their offenses were not that good... some might even argue the MVP should have gone td o Justin Tuck DE for the Giants he had 2 sacks and a ForceFumble... and that is really hard to do against the Pats...
Anyways, no perfect season for the Pats... it will have to wait for and other year... and now the Dolphins are happy and relieved again, because for them to do it again looks virtually impossible...

Super Bowl Ads: Best Ever

According to SI.com the best super bowl ads have already been rated, among the most memorable ones were the one with the bud-weis-er frogs, and mean joe green and the jersey, from the 70s... but the best one of all time, of course, was this apple macintosh commercial in 1984 used to introduce the first ever apple computer... since the beginning if you look closely they are positioning their computers as individual and unique compared to the rest of them...

These guys from scary movie, wont let down... they just keep producing stupid movies, and it kinda works for them, I heard a rumor they were doing this movie about a year ago...
