7 words you can't say on television

Comedian George Carlin passed away yesterday at the age of 71, and I personally didnt know him quite well, but I did a little investigating and bumped into this video on youtube which is quite famous...

the 7 words you cant say on television was quite scandalous back in its day, and its a real fun monologue to listen to... here it is...

kinda surprised the "N" word is not on the list...

And the Winner is....... Cobi

After 20 days of the poll and 20 votes it is finally closed, and by an overwhelming 8 votes, the compared to 3 of the second place, the winner of the best mascot of the olympics was the 1992 Barcelona games mascot Cobi... now, cobi might be the best mascot of the olympics, or maybe most of our readers lived those olympics when they were younger, and truly remember Cobi as a part of the games, anyways, here is some more info on the Catalan Sheepdog that inspired the mascot known as Cobi.

Cobi, was designed by Barcelona born artist Javier Valencia in a cubist style by the interpretations of Picasso of a masterpiece from Velazaquez, Las Meninas. It was unveiled on 1987 and its name derived from the Barcelona Olympic Organizing Commitee (COOB)

Before and during the games, Cobi was shown in different advertisements for notable Olympic sponsors such as Coca Cola, Danone and Brother Industries. They even produced his own TV series called 'The Cobi Troupe'. He quickly became an international celebrity and appeared in an extensive range of souvenirs called 'Cobiana' which proved to be a good source of income for the olympics. According to the International Olympic Committe, Cobi together with Misha (that friendly russian bear) have proven to be the most popular commercial success for the Olympic Games.

It took its original form from a typical Spaniard Dog called the Catalan Sheepdog (pictured below)

Benjamin Button

Check out the trailer for Brad Pitt;s newest movie called the curious case of Benjamin Button... its acurious case, because supposedly he is born as an old guy, and as he gets older, his body starts going younger... kind of like the Jack movie Robin Williams did, but, the other way around, or something....

anyways, looks good, and way better than Jack...

Bloons just doesnt stop

A great Lankuriosidad Classic is the Lanks Games section is the Bloons Franchise, the Bloons who made themselves famous with a game of a monkey shooting arrows to balloons in different levels, now brings us Bloon Pop Three, in my opinion, not the best of the series, but still worth playing a bit... its a bit of a version of the classic yahoo game Bejeweled.

Anybody up for a sequel? how about 5?

Is it the success of animated children movies? or is it just opening weekend paranoia? Well this past weekend was the premiere of the next animated big hit of the big screen...

Kung Fu Panda premiered in theaters around the world, and will soon be hitting your hometown... well I personally haven't seen the film, but I cant wait to see it... so what is the article really about? Well, Jack Black has already stated that he is willing to come back for another Panda movie, if everyone returns of course, he said, that its not his job that its difficult, he just has to show up and talk... its the writers and animators who have to do all the job...

So, who of us honestly didnt think this movie would have a sequel? almost always are they made in a sense of doing 2 or 3 versions... remember Lion King and a half? or something like that... how about the upcoming Shrek goes Fourth or the Puss with Boots film? well Jeffrey Katzenberg who is the executive producer for the film has announced that, just like shrek was intended to be a 5 parts movie, Kung Fu Panda was written as part 1 of 6...... so expect a lot of sequels to this movie if this is true... I just hope the first one is good, if not, its a major gamble for the studio...

First post

Hey Lankers! I’m Praetorian, Lanks’ longtime friend and first-time blogger. You’ll be seeing more & more of my posts around here in the coming weeks. Let me know which topics you like the most so I can focus on them in my next posts...
I read an article a while ago about the current whereabouts of several 90’s Album cover kids. Here’s a picture of them on the cover & now. Nothing interesting about their current whereabouts, except the fact that the Nirvana kid, having been seen naked by thousands if not millions of people, has an endless supply of pick-up lines for the ladies...

Popcorn and Cellphones: Uncovering the Myth

OK, so recently there have been a lot of videos circling the internet of three or four phones aligned in a cross, with four or five kernels of popcorn in the middle, and supposedly if you call the three of them at the same time, the popcorn POPS!!!, this created a lot of controversy, but finally my girlfriend found this video....

The hosts are pretty annoying, but there you go...
