This is the resistance

Attention all lankunauts in the blogosphere, do not be alarmed, do not try to change the website. I will be now contributing to this here blog, and there is nothing you can do about it (except, you know, complain). If you would like to know more about me, you are free to make it up for yourself, since I am not at liberty to divulge such information. My job is to warn you of the dangers of the internets, the impending zombie threat, and fill your screens with wholesome family entertainment. So what can you expect from me, you ask? Strange pictures and world news. Maybe something special every now and then, if i think you deserve it. For now, here´s a picture of the coolest car ever. Sit back and enjoy, and as Douglas Adams put it: We have normality. Anything you still can´t cope with is therefore your own problem. Please relax.

I recently found these pictures of Motorcycle helmets... its so cool how by doing so little work you obtain an awesome funny design, in the same article you could find some other helmets that included Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper however I dont think they were actual helmets and more like memorabilia... SNAPSHOTS: New Dollar Bills

Richard Smith is a famous advertising figure in the US, and is commonly known for having radical wacky ideas to reposition brands and other stuff. His latest project is called Dollar Rede$ign and it consists of coming up with new ideas of how the US Dollar should look like... based primarily on the idea that the 'old' dollars are boring, and the 'new' nation includes many races and colors, he came up with a few designs that then inspired others to come up with some, and the result, well, some are great ideas, other are just ridiculous...

Some look really far fetched for a dollar redesign, however others look pretty good, for it would be interesting to see dollars like those, and one blogger decided that why not make money from money? sell advertising space on bills LMAO...

Check the designs for yourself. Comments welcome. The first four are designs of Smith, the others fan made:

Testees

I just bought the first season of FX's series called Testees and I gotta say its actually quite good... after reading several reviews which called the show remarkably funny, I had to see for myself, so I bought the pilot, and immediately after watching the first episode I went on to Itunes again to buy the rest of the season.

The show follows 2 friends, which have always had trouble generating a steady income, so they decide to go the easy way... working freelance for a company called Testico, this company is dedicated to doing tests to humans for all kind of purposes, you can imagine the rest.

If you are a fan of dark stupid humor, you have to see this one, kind of reminds me a little bit of HBO's flight of the concords, only without the original songs in each episode. Once again, FX has surprised me with yet another show, for they are also the network who discovered and airs Its always sunny in Philadelphia, another great dark comedy, and one of my favorites... to learn more about the program CLICK HERE or just click any of the pictures.

Pole Dancing competition

Believe it or not, there is something in the US, called the Pole Dancing Federation, thats right just as there is a National Football League or a National Basketball Association, there is the USPDF which again, believe it or not, its main purpose is to make competitions of Pole Dancing Girls, a.k.a. Strippers.

Now the funny thing is not only that there is a federation, but they recently had the championship held in New York City in which more than 300 Pole dancers participated to finally crown Jenyne Butterfly (pic below) which Im sure its her real name.... NOT! as the 2009 Pole Dancing Champion.

Its amazing what you can get together these days with just a little dedication. To learn more about the USPDF please click on any of the pictures, you can also see a video of the 2009 competition.

Sherlock Holmes and Toy Story 3

Two classics are coming back to the movies, the first is a new adaptation of a classic story, as Guy Ritchie, the director of Snatch and Love Stock and Two Smoking Barrels teams up with Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Jude Law (Alfie) to bring Sherlock Holmes to the big screen, looks like a really interesting adaptation which perfectly mixes action sequences with comedy and adventure, the trailer below.

The other trailer that was released this weekend was the highly expected Toy Story 3, its actually a teaser trailer, but you can see it includes the whole gang from past movies and the classic rivalry between Buzz and Woody... the trailer below...

Robin Hood

After 17 years since Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves hit the screen in 1991, they decided to bring the story back to the big screen. This time, as a Riddley Scott-Russell Crowe duo. This duo has made such great movies as Gladiator and American Gangster. The original idea was to make a movie called Nottingham in which Crowe was set to play the Sheriff of Nottingham and the story was going to circle around him. However Scott decided to edit the script a lot, and he now ended doing another Robin Hood movie, with Crow playing Robin Hood.

Other castings include, Cate Blanchett as Lady Marion, Kevin Durand as Little John and Matthew McFayden as the Sheriff. Without a doubt Im sure that Scott and Crowe will give this film an excellent combo and as soon as I get more info Ill be sure to post it.
