It helps to be good looking

An interesting study i found on the net, shows that good looking men, are prominent to having better, healthier sperms, than ugly men, they have bigger reproduction possibilities and are more likely to get a girl pregnant... what the study has shown is that women have developed the ability to recognize reproductively fit males in the basis of the appearance of their face... so we can assume that Tom Brady is more likely to reproduce more little Toms, than Larry the Cable Guy little Larrys... again, according to this study...

Valentines History

Now that its valentine season, and we have a brand new seasoned header, I thought Id make a post of the history of valentines day, did a little research on it, and to tell you the truth its not as happy a holiday as we imagine, anyways here i leave you a brief description of the holiday, and if you want more info, you can click on the picture below to see a miniclip from the history channel regarding the holidays history.

Origins of the Day of Love

The origins of Valentine's Day are shrouded in mystery. According to University of Notre Dame Professor Lawrence Cunningham, scholars have two main theories to explain how February 14 became synonymous with romance:

• Roman Feast of Lupercalia - This ancient pagan fertility celebration, which honored Juno, queen of the Roman gods and goddesses and goddess of women and marriage, was held on February 14, the day before the feast began. During festival time, women would write love letters, also known as billets, and leave them in a large urn. The men of Rome would then draw a note from the urn and ardently pursue the woman who wrote the message they had chosen. (Apparently, the custom of lottery drawings to select valentines continued into the 18th century, coming to an end when people decided they'd rather choose -- sight seen! -- their valentines.)

• The Birds and the Bees? - In the Middle Ages, people began to send love letters on Valentine's Day. Medieval Europeans believed that birds began to mate on February 14.

There's also some controversy regarding Saint Valentine, for whom the famous day is named. Archaeologists, who unearthed a Roman catacomb and an ancient church dedicated to St. Valentine, are not sure if there was one Valentine or more. Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred on February 14 -- at least two of those in Italy during the 3rd century. The most popular candidate for St. Valentine was a 3rd century Roman priest who practiced Christianity and performed secret marriages against direct orders from Emperor Claudius II, who believed single soldiers were more likely to join his army. Legend has it that Valentine sent a friend (the jailer's daughter) a note signed "From Your Valentine" before he was executed on February 14 in 270 A.D. (That phrase is still used prominently on today's cards!)

Early Christians were happier with the idea of a holiday honoring the saint of romantic causes than with one recognizing a pagan festival. In 496 A.D., Pope Gelasius named February 14 in honor of St. Valentine as the patron saint of lovers. In 1969, Pope Paul VI dropped it from the calendar. However, the blend of Roman festival and Christian martyrdom had caught on, and Valentine's Day was here to stay.

I dont know if it happened to you, but it did happen to me and certainly to a lot of people on this video, when I firs heard Obama was running for president, I thought Osama??? thought it was like an SNL sketch or something... but now we know there is a similarity between the two and the video is here to preve it, I love the other ones though... Fan Predictions

I was amazed when I took this poll on nfl.com and when I saw the results I thought, this has to go on lankuriosidad... I thought the results were going to be like 68 pats 32 giants or something like that maybe a little bit tighter... but after 125672 voters, the answer is 50-50 that is pretty amazing, considering the spread on vegas opened on Giants +14........

The giants might have a better chance than we thought...

I have not seen any of the 5 movies nominated and I hope to see them soon, before the oscars, so I can give you a better insight into them, but just by knowing what each film is about, and the whole crew behind them, my prediction for this years best picture is There Will Be Blood, the story behind it and the nice cast and director, makes it a strong contender for the golden statue... however, with the way the oscars have been in recent years... you never know...

Super Bowl XLII

The cheeseheads have been crushed by the Giants.

As many of you already know I did a really good prediction for this past weekend's playoffs, just to remind some of you of one of them, I posted that the New York Giants, will win the game because they have gained a lot of momentum and they are already being called this years steelers, my prediction was 27-24 Giants win in OT actual score: 23-20 Giants win in OT, so, you could say I was pretty close...

With the super bowl, I see that this momentum is going to affect as well, but this time I think its going to be like the Jags-Pats game, its going to be tight at first, maybe 17-14 in favor of giants, going into halftime, but in the end, at the second half the pats are going to get back up like they did most of the season and com back to win it 34-29 when the giants score their last td, go for 2 points and dont make it, then fail to recover the onside kick...

lets see if im right this time, but I do think this will be the last Patriot Victory to get them to 19-0.
