RIP: Paul Newman

Paul Newman 1925-2008

Paul Newman not only was a legendary film actor, he also was an avid automobile fanatic who loved cars and racing, he was a humanitarian and an entrepreneur.

Together with Carl Haas, they were co-owners of the Newman-Haas racing squad.

He had his own brand, which many of you might now called Newman's Own, the incredible thing about this one and you can see it on the label picture below, is that all the profits he made from selling his goods, he'd sent them to charity, according to the website, they have already donated around 250 million dollars, to undisclosed charities.

Some of his movies include Hollywood classics, such as, the Color of Money, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke, The Sting, some of his late movies include, Road to Perdition and Cars (he was Doc Hudson's voice).

He lost his first born son, Scott Newman, to drug overdose, and subsequently he started the Scott Newman Center for drug abuse prevention.

Although he was married twice, he was a big supporter of monogamy, he was married first in 1949 to Jackie Witte, an had 2 daughters and a son (Scott). They divorced in 1958. Since then, he married actress Joan Woodard, with whom she had 3 daugthers. He was a devoted husband and father, when he got asked about his monogamist lifestyle he'd reply, Why go out for a hamburger, when you have the whole steak at home?

RIP 'Hijo del Papa'

Guillermo Lopez Langarica is a name that many of you will say yo do not know, however, just looka little bit further into it and youll find the guy known as the 'CANACA' guy, or the 'hijo del papa', he is also the one who brought us the famous phrase 'me amarraron como puerco!'.

Today I got the news that he was killed in Guadalajara... Ironically, he got run over by a drunk woman driving a neon... its too bad, drinking made him infamous and then drinking killed him indirectly...

For those of you who dont know, Max Payne is a popular video game about a DEA agent who fights drug dealers undercover... the game has become really popular recently, and there are now several versions of it available.

Doll Politics

Being from Mexico, sometimes we don't get to understand how people in our neighbor country (US) can mock their politicians the way they do (on TV, on SNL, on Advertising, and now through toys), they recently made a strong push for the now famous "Sarah Palin Doll" coming in 3 different presentations... Sarah Palin action figure, Sarah Palin school girl, and Sarah Palin super hero.

Well, I started looking this up and stumbled into a whole collection of politician dolls, I couldn't believe it when I saw it, some of these are actually pretty funny, specially the Hillary Clinton 'nutcracker' doll and the George W. Bush pull my finger doll..

Slow Week.

Next week is going to be a slow week, mainly because Im not going to be home... flying to Atlanta right now to a couple of meetings...

Virgin Sale

Natalie Dylan, a former San Diego student, needs money to help pay for her education, there are several jobs she could do but she only found one way to make herself rich in a second. Of course, Natalie Dylan is not her real name, she says she is using this alias for security reasons...

So what is she doing to get rich? It seems most girls who get to marriage as a virgins, save their virginity precisely for marriage, mainly because they want to demonstrate their true love to their spouse, well it seems Natalie had been saving it for when she was broke. Thats right, recently she has made a lot of noise, specially on the web, because she is, AUCTIONING HER VIRGINITY... She says she will have sex, with the highest bidder... "We live in a capitalist society, why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize with my virginity?" Dylan says...
One comment that really made me laugh was when CNN reporters asked a young student on campus, Do you know a lot of girls who are virgins? 'Not really' he replied, 'and if you ask me she doesn't look like much of a virgin either...'. hahaha, what a weirdo.

It makes no sense what she studied with what she is doing, it makes no sense at all... she has a major in women studies, and she now wants a master in marriage and family therapy... WTF? does she even know what marriage and family mean?

She already has a lot of supporters behind her back including Dennis Hof, the owner of Bunny Ranch which is a legal brothel in Nevada, Hof, paid for the lied detector test to prove Dylan's virginity, and he is willing to back her up in case anyone argues that she is doing prostitution, which is exactly what she is doing, but now she can avoid legal battles thanks to Hof's support.

The news has already started a big online debate about sex an morality, some people insist that she is grabbing way to many attention that she just wants her 15 minutes of fame, and not the money to pay for her tuition. I agree completely with them. The auction has caught the eye of polemic media mogul Howard Stern, and it will be promoted live on his show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Amazing.

Its sad to see how low a person can sink just for a few bucks, or a few minutes of fame...

Ive never seen a more pro-gay rights movie trailer in my life... this is Sean Penn's newest movie, based on the story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay politician... so he played retarded in I am Sam and didnt get the oscar, he is going to the next step... GAY... I wonder what he will do next if he doesn't get an oscar this time, maybe a war movie... OH NO! he did The Thin Red Line...
